overview opening hours services The Švanda Theatre was founded in 1881 by Pavel Švanda of Semčic the Elder, director of one of the most famous traveling companies of the 19th century. Today it describes itself as a modern cultural centre of performing arts, which annually organizes more than 450 cultural events. It has two performance spaces – the Large Hall and the flexible Study.
