overview about the place The Smíchov Upper Embankment is characterized by its unique views of the historical Prague landmark Vyšehrad castle as well as the distinctively arched railway bridge. In the revamped “Kobky” former storage lock-ups or Cells (literally dungeons) set into the embankment walls, you can e.g. get some refreshments, pick some DIY books in the Municipal Library outpost, or get creative in the Workshop café. During the year, foodie festivals and cultural events are held at the Smíchov embankment, this very welcoming public space. The embankment is also served by the Vyšehrad ferry, which you can take to Podskalí or Císařská louka. more about the place Source: prazskenaplavky.cz the cells Cell 1 – U JEDNOHO STOLU (At One Table), creative workshop and bar, and course venue Cell 8 – Kobka 8 bar Cell 9 – 9íTKA (9ER), adventure bar with gallery Cell 10 – Dílna (Workshop), where to make, repair, replace, drink… Cell 12 – Marina Gallery bar and facilities for riverside life Cell 13 and 14 – HOAX PUB, a bar with outside seating overlooking Vyšehrad and the Vltava river, complete with some intrigued swans Cell 15 – Cocktail and coffee bar KOBKA 15 Cell 16 – DOK 16, neighbourhood workshop, all about machinery and DIY books, run by the Municipal Library in Prague Cell 17 – Community Cell, a space for non-commercial activities – exhibitions, events, workshops, etc.
