Prague is one of the greenest cities in the world. There are plenty of beautiful parks and forests to relax in, but some of the most picturesque parts are undoubtedly the vineyards, some of which are thousands of years old. They all have one thing in common - an unmistakable atmosphere, enchanting views of the city, stories worth hearing, and unique, authentic wines worth tasting. A visit to the vineyards is certainly one of the most poetic ways to get to know a completely different part of Prague. All of Prague’s vineyards open every year in May during the wine festivals. However, most of them can be visited all year round. Prague’s winemakers specialize in Riesling, Welschriesling, and red Tramin, but you can taste many more varieties. Come by for a glass – it’s worth it.
