The exhibition presents the cross-section of Czech Cubism with a focus on interior design 1911-1914, overlapping until the early 1920s, on the two floors of the building. A representative selection of important furniture sets and solitaire pieces by Pavel Janák, Josef Gočár, Vlastislav Hofman, Josef Chochol, Otakar Novotný and Antonín Procházka are complemented by ceramics, objects made of metal, ornamental wallpaper patterns, posters and graphic design. Ideological links of free and applied art in cubism take into account selected works of cubist painting and sculpture – paintings by Emil Filla, Bohumil Kubišta, Josef Čapek, Václav Špála and Otokar Kubín and sculptures by Otto Gutfreund. The architecture is described by projection based on current photographs of architectural realizations, which is complemented by the selection of period photographs and published architectural designs.
